Gymbox Holborn - (Near Camden, UK)

1 /5 J Kerr: Gymbox only care about money. Nothing else. I joined Gymbox Holborn in October. Paid around £130 for a month to month contract as my health wasnt great so I wasnt sure how long I could commit to. Literally had just one session when I had to have a stomach operation. I then contacted them to ask for a refund. Nope, they insisted on seeing evidence of my operation, which I supplied and then insisted I freeze the membership. Gymbox have zero empathy or any customer focus - had they have refunded me, wished me a fast recovery etc I very likely would have signed back up. Have they never heard of customer goodwill? Disappointed. Just total money grabbing and the way they handled the communication was really poor. And still no refund.

3 /5 夏侯惇: I have been coming here for 5 years, it has been a good and consistent place for a variety of trainings. My complaint is fairly recently, the smell in the gym has been insufferable. It’s mostly from the boxing area, the ring has been soaked with sweat and feet and is producing a disgusting odour. Imagine putting a football player’s socks post training into a pickle jar with Roman garum and let it ferment underneath the blazing sun for a month, that’s what you get. The gym is in the basement and I think the ventilation is not doing a proper job here. Seriously, it’s repulsive to come to gym every time to smell this!

1 /5 Tomas Peixe: I was given wrong information when signing my contract, had to pay for a month I did not enjoy. And when I complaint to their customer services I was told I signed a contract so tough luck. Very keen when getting you to sign up but not so keen when assuming or solving THEIR mistakes.

4 /5 Francisco Aldao: For an underground gym really rather good, varied equipment which is so rare and much appreciated six squat racks, sauna and staff generally friendly. Seems to have a good array of classes but havent had a chance to try them yet looking forward to doing some of them. Lots of boxing equipment and seems to have many muay thai classes running. Sadly the weights arent stacked in their correct places which can mean you may need to spend time playing hunt the weight you need but sadly seems to be standard for central London gyms. Roof is leaky which makes the gym floor wet after rainfall. However, cleaners do a great job keeping it clean.
