1 /5 Martin Geller: I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Rimon as a personal trainer. I purchased two 12-session packs, and in the second pack, after just three sessions, I suffered a rotator cuff injury. I informed Rimon of my injury, yet he insisted on continuing training sessions, even though I was in significant pain and needed time to recover. When I explained that my insurance covered osteopathy, he suggested massage sessions instead, something I clearly said I didn’t need or want.
When it came to the sessions I couldn’t attend due to my injury, he refused to refund the full amount owed. I was entitled to a refund for nine sessions, but he only returned six, claiming that I’d canceled three sessions without 24-hour notice—even though I’d immediately informed him about my injury. I even confirmed via text that he was fine to wait for me to recover before resuming training, but he backtracked on this agreement and used it as an excuse to withhold payment. I have posted images of our text exchanges as evidence.
The injury itself was a result of his reckless approach. He had me perform heavy chest presses on a machine without any warm-up, a completely negligent and unprofessional move for a personal trainer. Despite being a fit and experienced individual, I was pushed too far, too soon, and ended up injured because of it.
Since this experience, I’ve worked with other trainers who have helped me make significant progress safely—something Rimon clearly lacked the capability to do. Additionally, despite raising a complaint with the gym where he was employed, they couldn’t resolve the issue due to him being an external contractor, and he left the gym soon after, making it impossible for me to pursue the matter further.
I would highly advise anyone considering hiring Rimon to think twice. He disregards his clients’ safety, pressures them into unwanted sessions, and resorts to dubious excuses to avoid giving refunds. This trainer is untrustworthy and, frankly, a risk to your health and wallet.
Edit: In response to any attempt by Rimon to downplay his behaviour or shift blame onto me for cancellations, I am providing screenshots of our WhatsApp conversations to demonstrate his aggressive and unprofessional conduct. These messages show him using disrespectful, even vulgar language when responding to simple requests for flexibility due to my injury. Despite my clear communication about needing time off to recover, he repeatedly pressured me to continue training, disregarding the potential harm to my health. He even stated that his other clients continue training despite injuries—a practice that is both reckless and unethical for a personal trainer.
Edit: his confrontational and belittling attitude shines through his response to this review. Firstly, the reason I reposted this review (once) is that he appeals against it to take the review off because he doesn’t want transparency into his potentially questionable training methods. Secondly, why do you have to publicly discuss my choice of training shorts? It genuinely eludes me. Whether I wear a certain brand of training shorts or another is my personal choice, and we live in a free country, not a theocracy. There is no reason for you to address the concerns I raised with your service by trying to humiliate me for my shorts being too tight; the gym allowed me to train with them and it was your choice to train me given my clothing choices. Finally, phrases like “please find something better to do with your time” are not only patronising; they are malicious because the reason I find myself reposting them is that you have appealed to delete it; who knows what kind of falsehood you would have had to tell them since this review does not in principle violate Google’s T&Cs. Take care Rimon. Try not less offensive/aim not to humiliate those who disagree with you about your training methods and lack of professionalism by making their clothing choices a public matter – which doesn’t redeem your unprofessional behaviour: it validates it.
