5 /5 C: I first met Frances in 2019 at her Kensington studio. My husband was enquiring about memberships, and Frances suggested I try a few sessions too. I was initially reluctant, due to some ongoing lower back issues and the idea that TRX was for hardcore fitness fanatics, which I most definitely was not! But Frances asked the right questions about my back, put me completely at ease, and I took my first class a few days later.
Despite always working out in some shape or form, I never enjoyed going to gyms. I mostly found group classes impersonal and intimidating, but my experience with Frances couldn’t have been more different. She makes it her business to understand the individual needs and limitations of everyone in the class, so you feel as though you’re getting the personal attention of a one-to-one session, while at the same time enjoying the motivation and energy of the group. Her knowledge of her craft is second to none, and she has managed to create a family-like atmosphere without compromising on results.
Not surprisingly, as my core strengthened and my overall fitness improved, my lower back ceased to be an issue, though perhaps my most notable improvement came in the form of attitude: I went from reluctant to eager participant, and that is down to Frances’s results-driven approach and infectious enthusiasm. I’m not sure where I’d be without her!
