1 /5 Matthew King: Disappointed that the runway is cluttered, very hard to work out whats where if you havent been before. However, I enjoyed working out here.
Addition, the end of my workout was bitterly disappointing as someone created a situation out of nothing about gym equipment. Ive used the Reading gym group for a while now and not had a singular discrepancy with anyone.
2 /5 Mihai Manea: The Gym Group Ilford is disappointing—always overcrowded, machines constantly broken, and the place is dirty. The main door is always left wide open, making it feel unsafe. Hygiene and maintenance are clearly not a priority. Feels more like a chaotic warehouse than a proper gym. Not worth it.
1 /5 Josh L: Possibly the worst gym I’ve ever been to! It was so busy. The weights were everywhere. On some of the plate tree racks, there were no plates at all! So we had to hunt around to find weights. Will never go again!
5 /5 Rena: I’ve had a really positive experience at this gym. It has a good range of machines free weights and functional training equipment. The staff is professional and supportive creating a friendly environment that keeps you motivated. The gym is hygienic and not overly crowded during most hours which is a big plus. Membership prices are reasonable for the facilities provided. Definitely a solid choice for anyone looking to improve their fitness.
5 /5 Chet V: Ive been on and off at this gym since 2012 when it was easyGym. The Gym Group took it over and its been maintained incredibly well since. The equipment has of course changed in that time and for strength training there is a reduced amount of plate loaded machines in favour of having 2x of the same selectorised machines of each type. The matted area for stretching etc has also reduced, and is often used up by instructors running drill sessions meaning you have to stretch in a random area of the gym. All in all though, still 5 stars. I hadnt seen any out of service equipment today at all.
Meera Ved Ive been going to pregnancy yoga by Sim for 5 months and its completely surpassed my expectations. Its consistently been one of my weekly highlights, just what I needed in terms of relaxation balanced with learning about how movement and breathing can help throughout pregnancy. Sim is very skilled at facilitating the sessions and advising on safe practice during pregnancy.
Something that stood out to me was that no week is the same and so tailored to pregnancy (physically and emotionally). Im now approaching the end of my pregnancy with so many hints and tips that Ive picked up from Sim.
Have already recommended the class to others and would not hesitate to recommend again.
The Yoga on the Green facilities are also great, feels like a calm sanctuary as soon as you walk in and staff are also super friendly.
Ismail Patel Proper bodybuilding gym — no nonsense. The kit is solid, the dumbbells go big, and the atmosphere pushes you to train harder. Just serious lifters and a real community vibe. If you want real results this is the place to come.

Service was friendly and very professional. The staff were very experienced which allowed me to be very relaxed about the long journey via ferry. All went well. Thank you.

The session itself helps create a deep sense of well-being and harmony on a physical, mental and emotional level.
Having a class available on a Sunday helps prepare for the week ahead. The venue is cosy with free parking available which is perfect. I would highly recommend Jags classes.
