Jessica Holdstock I became a member at Tranquility in summer of 2024 and have found it to be incredible value for money. I’ve been doing yoga on and off since I was a teen but Tranquility offers something beyond the average yoga class. There’s no perfecting and honing postures, pushing yourself harder and further like a ballet class (although you can do that if you want to), it’s a “come as you are and do what feels good” studio with all the classes supporting a holistic and inclusive approach. I don’t feel self conscious but the varied classes and the inclusion of breathwork (pranayama) and meditative techniques has improved my overall wellbeing and finally given me a more positive relationship with my body. I haven’t found a class at Tranquility I don’t like and have progressed my practice and am still able to challenge myself when I want to. What’s especially appealing for me as a working mum is the variety of classes offered early evening so I can work around the work day and doing bedtimes. Plus it’s set in gorgeous countryside and there’s a whole load of workshops and extra events hosted there that are great if you spiritually curious and looking to expand your practice. I honestly can’t recommend highly enough - one of the most positive introductions to my life in some time.

It all began with soft, soothing music, setting the atmosphere and preparing the mind. Then, Tijen, with her incredibly warm and powerful energy, guided us through a meditation, speaking words of self-acceptance and unconditional love. Her voice wrapped us in a sense of calm, creating the feeling of complete harmony and reassurance that we were exactly where we needed to be. As the singing bowls began to play, everything around me seemed to come alive. The vibrations filled the space, resonating through every cell of my body, carrying my consciousness beyond the ordinary. I completely disconnected from my thoughts and simply allowed myself to feel. My sensations became more refined and profound—I noticed tension points in my body and observed how energy flowed freely, filling me with lightness and a sense of freedom. This experience was more than just meditation; it was a true journey within—a world of stillness, vibrations, and love. Tijen is a remarkable guide on this path. Her energy, voice, and gentle presence create an atmosphere of complete trust and harmony. If you wish to gift yourself a moment of deep relaxation, reset, and self-love, I highly recommend this practice. You won’t regret it!

R PSANCH Evy is a down to earth, warm and welcoming yoga teacher, explains in great simplicity the poses. When there are challenging poses she will highlight different options to suit different peoples abilities. At the end of each class I always feel lifted in spirit. I recommend this class to anyone.

Emiliya Sim I started training with a personal trainer in 2013 and have worked with two different PTs over the past 11 years. My initial goal was to lose weight, get into a regular exercise routine, build strength, and maintain my fitness levels over time. Since October 2024, I’ve been training with Chris at Fiit Studio, and he has completely transformed both my body and my understanding of what it means to be fit and strong—especially as you get older. While weight loss was not my main objective, I’ve not only slimmed down but also become noticeably more toned, much stronger, and far more mindful about my nutrition. Training with Chris requires discipline, consistency, and commitment, but his guidance makes the journey both effective and rewarding. He has an exceptional ability to design the right programme at the right time, knowing exactly when and how to increase weights to push me further without risk. His deep knowledge of nutrition, combined with his firm but encouraging coaching style (sometimes like a headmaster!), has helped me make lasting improvements to my lifestyle. His constant reminders about the benefits of movement and walking really do pay off. Most recently, I successfully climbed a mountain of almost 4,000 metres—an achievement I can confidently say would not have been possible without the strength and endurance I built under Chris’s training, particularly in my core and legs. I cannot recommend Chris highly enough as a personal trainer. He is knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely invested in helping his clients achieve their goals and sustain long-term health.
