1 /5 Roy Humphreys: As a pensioner, I thought Id book a fun swimming session for myself, my partner and three grandchildren. The on-line booking system has to be the worst Ive ever encountered. Its taken almost two hours to wade through multiple questions, in order to create an account, including what is my ethnicity, and country of residence. I dont want to create an account, I just wanted to book and pay! I gave up after 45 mins and thought Id phone, which would be far easier, but nobody answers the phone. So I had to try all the options available until I eventually succeeded. Thats two hours of my life that Ill never get back, why make it so difficult?
When I got to the reception to book in, I questioned why they never answered the phone and complained about how difficult it was to book the session. Instead of being sympathetic, the receptionist went all defensive and said they wouldn’t answer the phone if there was a customer present. She went on to say that it must have been my fault and also everyone else uses a phone app to book in. Unbelievable!
