The people that train there are like a big family. Come give it a try, it will become your second home, like it has for me

5 /5 Joshua Stansfield: the best gym i’ve had the honour of training at. The coaches are knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to help. The community of people at this gym are kind and thoughtful about their training partners. I’m sad to be leaving this gym in the near future but in the time i’ve spent here, my martial arts have been taken to the next level which I’m grateful for. A great gym for beginners and experienced fighters alike. I doubt that this year will be the last time that I train here.

5 /5 Luca Cappalonga: I have been training at Mavericks for a few years now and the only regret I have is not joining earlier. The coaches are amazing including Nick Fielding, Higo Gomez both being black belts at BJJ and Henry Grimble to help with your wrestling game. Not only do they help you become a better fighter, but they also treat everyone with respect and make you feel welcome to be there. It is a great place to build up your confidence, your goals (if you are looking to fight or just train), build up your fitness and make friends. The social aspect is great, everyone at the club is very friendly with no egos and are willing to help, making you feel part of the Mavericks family. I have improved massively since joining a few years ago and have even competed in 2x K1 fights and in jiu jitsu. This had made me more motivated in my everyday life and no matter what age you are, it is never too late to start. I would highly recommend coming to a class to try it out and I’m sure you will be hooked from there.

5 /5 Tayler Michaels: Went to One Martial Arts for the Empowered Womens Fitness day - such a great day! A mix of yoga, fitness and martial arts taster classes all lead by some fantastic trainers. We were given regular breaks where you could either go for a free massage or snack on some healthy food, all while surrounded by really lovely women. Big shout out to Ang who was a fantastic teacher and brought such an energy to the whole day - thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend!

Phil Hannabuss Once of the best fitness groups I have attended. When I wanted to get into fitness my initial thought was it had to be in a gym. I trained weights and did a few classes, however this never really helped me to progress. Since starting with YFS, I have improved my technique and met some amazing people of all ages and we all work together on a common goal of improving our fitness level. Tom leads an amazing class, with focus on technique and personal progress over the competitive nature I have experience in other classes. Accepting I am also in the older generation, its nice to work out with a mixture of ages and abilities. Well worth a trial class, you wont regret it !
