1 /5 Emily: Used to be such a good gym but now it’s dirty and poorly maintained. In particular, the hydro suite (once a highlight) is never working and I was shocked to see that the jacuzzi is empty and full of dirt. A sad decline - disgraceful of management to let this community asset run to ruin. I’ve cancelled my membership today.

1 /5 M George: This gym is in a pretty bad state, which is a shame because its in an amazing location and could be a great place for the local community to workout. Ive been going for a few months now and some of the equipment has been out of order for that entire period, as well as additional things breaking in that time. All but two of the treadmills are out of order, as well as all of the Stairmaster machines. I would avoid this gym if cardio is your thing. Much of the working equipment is not in a good state either. Several weights machines have rusty plates, so you cant tell which weight you are lifting. Handles are loose. Seats are falling apart. The changing rooms also have a rather unpleasant smell. On top of this, they recently put prices up by almost 20% and I cannot tell where that money is going. It certainly isnt being used to maintain the gym. I will say that the staff on the front desk have always been helpful and friendly though.

1 /5 Nicholas Richardson: Why doesn’t anyone come and buy this gym out? It’s in such a great location with so much potential and the demand is so huge! Instead of meeting any standard however, it’s run down, in deep need of a full refurb, and almost nothing works. Treadmills have had ‘not working’ signs on them since I signed up. Managment has changed for the better I think, but the entire gym desperately needs a redo, it is in grim condition. The area is so nice it doesn’t make any sense

1 /5 Jesse Noble: Gym facilities are tired. The spa hasn’t been touched since it opened 10+ years ago. Looking very sorry for itself now. The sauna, steam room and hot tub have all been left to desrepair. The sauna was the only thing working on my visit with people eating, drinking and scrubbing down themselves inside it. Higene and cleanliness clearly not a priority even with the state that it’s in.

3 /5 Andrew Hoy: OLD REVIEW: More a storage centre for broken exercise equipment than a gym at the minute. 2 out of 3 stairmasters are broken, 7 out of maybe 9 treadmills are broken, and about half the cross-trainers are broken (depending on the day). EDIT JULY 2025: Most of the broken equipment has been fixed, things definitely getting better! Hopefully able to upgrade to 4 stars by the end of the year.
