Chris Penn Returning to the Gym after 20+ years was a daunting task. So many times my mind had talked my heart out if it, but one day I decided to go and check this one out. I was greated by Sam Payne one of the PT instructors and staff members and not only did he give me a tour, he listened to why I was looking to return to the gym and put me at ease. Since joining Sam has been a great influence and has helped me take stock of what needs doing, and we have worked on a plan forward. Hes an absolute asset to The Gym Group. The other staff are always helpful and on hand too, they are always keeping the gym tidy when not instructing or helping others. The atmosphere itself is great, theres no threatening or judgemental vibes here. Everyone of all shapes and sizes are here to work out and better their health. If youre worried about joining, dont be, this is the best of the Gyms in the Farnborough area. Lots of equipment, open space, great lighting and airy. Not dark or moody. P.S. If you prefer to come at quieter times (SEN) then The Gym Group app allows you to see what times are the quietest and plan around that (that was a tip from Sam Payne). People also have no issues with you wearing in ear earphones or massive cans if you want to block out everything and concentrate on your session.

Adam Wright Fantastic Gym with great coaches and community. I came to this gym after moving to Portsmouth on my working placement year between University and thought I would try something new to the regular gym which I am used to. This ended up being a quality choice. After having the 1 to 1 beginner session with Carl to take me through all of the CrossFit lifts to ensure I was able to do them correctly and safely, I felt involved in the gyms community straight away. Every coach is super friendly and knowledgeable on everything CrossFit! They are there to answer every question you have and ensure you are moving yourself and the weights safely and importantly - pushing yourself! I thoroughly enjoyed the summer beach CrossFit sessions that the gym offers as it’s an excuse to get a tan while working out! I also really enjoyed the gym individual and team competitions - an opportunity to really push yourself and see where you have improved. After moving to Portsmouth by myself, I didn’t know many people in the area, so having this community of friendly fitness fanatics who were up for pushing each other and also having a laugh really helped me out and I’m very appreciative of that. Well done Carl and Claire for what you do at this gym as it’s a really quality place. I wish this gym was in my home town where I live in Essex!

Jen Ridgers I have been to this Champneys many times and it never disappoints. The setting is beautiful and tranquil, and the drive up to the property is really lovely, it is set around a country house and on a large lake. The facilities are great, very clean, the pool area is particularly nice and my favourite thing is the outside jacuzzi. I have done a few classes, my favourite is Spin, great music and the instructor was awesome. The treatments are also very good, you go into a separate area and everything is luxurious and the service is excellent. I also particularly rate the food, the lunches are served as a buffet style and everything has always been top notch. Highly recommend this venue.

Rose Beaumont Ems Yoga at The Chapel Studio is a fabulous experience in a magical location. The Chapel itself provides an oasis in which to find your own rhythm as Ems brilliantly navigates you through wonderfully flowing salutations and poses. A little piece of paradise!
