5 /5 Rachel Bernhard: I’ve been working with Shane for several years now and am struggling to find the words to say how great it has been for my physical and mental health.
Shane is knowledgeable, kind, careful, adaptable, and funny. He has worked with me through old sports injuries (hip dislocation, stress fractures, neck whiplash) and new (meniscus tear from gardening, ankle sprain from slipping on ice). For every issue he carefully redesigns his programme for me, taking into account physio recommendations and my own whingeing. Many of these injuries he has more comprehensively addressed than the physio has.
The result is that I feel physically better than I have in years, and always safe and comfortable in the exercises we do. I’m not going to set any world (or even gym) records, but Shane treats me with that level of care and respect. As such, I would especially recommend him to anyone who has felt uncomfortable in gym spaces previously due to disability, age, gender, LGBTQ, etc.
In short—run, wheel, walk, whatever you can do—but do check out PT|OX. It’s one of the best things I ever did.
