2 /5 Alex Angelov: I visited Marshall Street Leisure Centre for a swim, and I must say it’s one of the most disappointing pools I’ve encountered.
Firstly, the shape and depth of the pool are problematic-the shallowest part is just 0.90 meters, which makes it difficult to swim comfortably if youre tall, as your hands constantly touch the floor. While that may be hard to change structurally, the cleanliness is something that absolutely can be addressed.
Unfortunately, the cleaning appears to be minimal to nonexistent. There’s visible rust along the walls and at the bottom of the pool, which is quite concerning. I’m genuinely surprised to see this level of neglect in a facility located in the heart of London.
