I joined the 4-week dance course (£75) a little late and missed one class. When I requested to make it up by attending an extra session, I was told it wasn’t possible — no flexibility, no alternative, even though I had paid in full for four classes. The package included a free social and a lesson I couldn’t attend twice, which was fair, but the overall attitude was remarkably rigid.
To top it off, when I asked to refill my bottle with tap water, I was told it wasn’t allowed — only bottled water could be sold, leaving the bathroom taps as the only option.
For a place centred on health and fitness, a touch of empathy and practicality would make a world of difference.
