1 /5 Local: Better are planning not to continue their music licence meaning that they will expect people to exercise with music that we don’t recognise or like (and the instructors will have to listen to it too). There are enough barriers to exercise for people without taking away the enjoyment, music is a core part of this. Personally I will be cancelling my membership if this goes ahead but for a charity putting profit ahead of members is unacceptable.

4 /5 N Tran: I’ve recently found out that from March 2026 a generic music playlist will be used across all exercise classes. I don’t feel this is the right approach. Different classes have very different styles, energy levels and cultural influences, and music plays a huge role in setting the atmosphere and effectiveness of each session. Instructors know their classes best and should be trusted to choose music that suits what they are teaching. You wouldn’t expect the same music in a spin class as you would in a dance class with Afro beats — one size simply doesn’t fit all. This change feels like a step away from inclusiveness and individuality, both of which are important in a modern leisure centre. I’d also like to say how much I enjoy the classes with the instructors — Michelle (legs, bums & tums and dance), Floyd, Ayoola, Gul as well as the fitness rebound class on Tuesdays. The instructors make a huge difference to the quality and enjoyment of the sessions. It would also be fantastic if Michelle’s classes could be available in the evenings too, as her classes are excellent. I really hope this decision is reconsidered.

1 /5 Monaliza: We used to be regular happy customers here and visited often. Unfortunately, our last experience was extremely disappointing. I had already paid for my child to enjoy the small swimming pool, but we were asked to leave by the manager in a very unpleasant way. I always noticed that some of the staff weren’t particularly friendly, but we chose to overlook it for the sake of my child’s enjoyment. However, after being treated so poorly, I decided to cancel my child’s membership and will now be looking for a different place. Very sad to see how the atmosphere and customer care have changed.

1 /5 sirbarletta91: If they actually tried to stop people pushing through the gate for free they may be able to offer proper paper towels rather than toilet roll on the gym floor Edit: great to hear one week later you have replenished the towels.. Regarding gate security its simply not true. People shamelessly wait in the reception area so they can run through the gate as people leave or force arms through to hit the exit button so they can force the gate. Staff routinely turn a blind eye to all of this (and I dont blame them, management should fix the system)

The pools were all well managed by the lifeguards, they were actively checking how busy the pools were, closing them at capacity, making sure children were using the slides correctly etc which was nice to see. The two smaller pools were great for my toddlers and they really enjoyed the slides. We travelled half an hour to get here as we don’t have anything like this near us so it was a nice change. The only improvement for us would be more family changing rooms as they were full when we got there and the small changing rooms were very tricky to change twin toddlers in. They can’t help the size of the building though! We’d visit again
