Fitness First Bishopsgate -

Rating: 4.4 /5
Nevada Jahja I am extremely happy that I started my fitness journey at Fitness First Bishopsgate. The gym is always very clean, especially the swimming pool and the showers, which is very important to me. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. I would especially like to mention Reuben, whose behavior and support have been outstanding. He is very kind, professional, and always willing to help, which makes the experience even better. Overall, this is a fantastic fitness center with a very positive and welcoming atmosphere. I am very satisfied with my decision to join this gym and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, supportive, and professional place to train.

Reiss Great-sized gym that never feels too busy, with friendly staff and an impressively clean environment. Special shoutout to Vladimir, who always does his absolute best to keep everything in top-tier condition. A lot of other Virgin Active locations could learn a thing or two from this gym.

Fitness First Fenchurch St -

Rating: 4.5 /5
Ajith Asokan Fitness First Fenchurch Street has always been a staple for the City crowd, but the recent refurbishment has elevated it from a standard "basement grind" to a high-spec training environment. While the aesthetic upgrade is undeniable, the sheer technicality of the new kit introduces a significant learning curve for the average member. The Transformation The gym floor has transitioned to a much more open, industrial-chic layout. Gone are the cluttered rows of legacy machines, replaced by a curated selection of Technogym and Eleiko equipment. The lighting is sharper, the air conditioning actually works, and the functional training zone has been significantly expanded to accommodate the growing demand for HIIT and hybrid training. The Tech Gap: Innovation vs. Intuition The centerpiece of the refurb is the integration of ultra-modern biometric equipment. However, for those of us used to "pin and pull" machines, the new hardware feels like stepping onto the set of a sci-fi film. Biocircuit Integration: Many of the new resistance machines are now fully digital. If you dont have your app synced or your RFID band ready, the machine essentially stares back at you blankly. It’s no longer about "getting a pump"; it’s about data management. The "Mystery" Mechanics: Several pieces of equipment—particularly in the functional area—defy traditional logic. There is a cable-and-rail system near the back that looks like a prototype for a vertical slingshot. Without a PT standing nearby to explain the planes of motion, it remains a very expensive piece of modern art.

Wini Bloye I started working with Martyn to get back into fitness after struggling with postpartum issues. His understanding and attention to detail has really given me the boost that I needed for my recovery journey. The sessions are challenging but always in accordance to my abilities. Martyn is very personable and makes those training sessions fly by! I hope to continue with what I’ve learned from him and enhance my general fitness levels.
