4 /5 Aoki Sanchez: *Important Update* Please be aware that classes need to be cancelled 4 hours in advance. Unaware, I cancelled a class 2 hours before and paid a fine of £4! Wow! I believe that needs to change! So I’ll be downgrading my stars rating Canada Water’s new super leisure centre is a game changer! (I don’t get the negative reviews, you guys seriously need to go out more)
I had the chance to tour the brand-new Canada Water Leisure Centre on opening day, and honestly, it exceeded my expectations. The facilities are top-notch: two pools — a full 25m eight-lane pool and a teaching pool with a moveable floor. The gym is packed with cutting-edge kit like Speedflex machines, which I can’t wait to try more.
What really stood out was the multipurpose sports hall — you can rent it for badminton, tennis, five-a-side football, and basketball, making it perfect for groups and community activities.
A big thank you to Phillipa for the wonderful tour — the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. I also joined a meditation class and was impressed to see frequency bowls for sound included. It added something unique, though personally I’d also love to see a quieter session focused just on breathwork. The meditation space itself is gorgeous, with calming blue lights that create a really peaceful atmosphere.
They also run group cycling classes, though these weren’t available during my visit because they were filming. I was told you need to book classes through their app, ideally well in advance, since demand is already high.
I noticed the age group skewed a little older (around 40–50+), which surprised me, but it actually made the vibe even more friendly and community-oriented.
And let’s not forget: memberships for locals start from just £20 a month — insane value for London. Between the swimming, the gym, the classes, and the multipurpose hall, this place really has something for everyone.
Highly recommend checking it out!
