Rohan Khan I’ve been training at KIA for a number of years now, learning under the well renowned Coach Khalid who is a master of the art, knowledgeable, and a specialist in kickboxing and MMA. Khalid isn’t just a teacher, he is a coach, a friend and a brother. And these values are instilled within us, the family at the academy. He’s an inspiration to me and every student who attends. Every session is a period in your day to let your frustrations out … in a disciplined manner. There are variations in the type of lessons depending on the day of the week, and the classes are suitable for beginners all the way to black belt and beyond. My nephew (7 years old) now also attends now and absolutely loves it and is always showing me what he’s learnt at the sessions.

Meera Ved Ive been going to pregnancy yoga by Sim for 5 months and its completely surpassed my expectations. Its consistently been one of my weekly highlights, just what I needed in terms of relaxation balanced with learning about how movement and breathing can help throughout pregnancy. Sim is very skilled at facilitating the sessions and advising on safe practice during pregnancy. Something that stood out to me was that no week is the same and so tailored to pregnancy (physically and emotionally). Im now approaching the end of my pregnancy with so many hints and tips that Ive picked up from Sim. Have already recommended the class to others and would not hesitate to recommend again. The Yoga on the Green facilities are also great, feels like a calm sanctuary as soon as you walk in and staff are also super friendly.

F Ahmad I moved to Virgin Active Repton Park in January after spending 5 years at Nuffield Health, and the difference has been a complete revelation. Nuffield raised prices twice in a year, removed key facilities like the jacuzzi without offering any discount, and the overall atmosphere — especially with some PTs — felt disrespectful and unfair. That experience pushed me to leave. Virgin Active has been the opposite in every way. From the gated community car park where you know your car is safe, to the friendly and welcoming reception team who greet you with a smile and provide fresh towels on every visit, the hospitality here is on another level. The locker rooms are a bit outdated and could use a modern refresh, but they’re always clean. The gym floor is great, though I do wish it had a bit more space and additional machines — especially a dedicated bicep machine. The real highlight of this club is the spa area. The sauna and steam room were recently renovated and are consistently in perfect working condition. The jacuzzi is incredibly relaxing, and the swimming pool is huge. As someone who’s been bodybuilding for over 10 years, having high-quality recovery facilities makes a massive difference. The architecture of the building is beautiful — transforming an old church into a gym gives the whole place a unique, almost royal feel. Overall, Virgin Active Repton Park delivers exceptional value, atmosphere, and service. Easily one of the best fitness clubs I’ve ever been a part of.

Paul Silver I am delighted to say, that my recent experience with Nuffield health Chigwell has been excellent. I had a problem with gym equipment that needed attention. To my pleasant surprise, Charlotte on reception was extremely efficient, polite and helpful. She involved her Manager Kingsley into solving the issue and they both rectified it without any fuss, "brilliant!" I then had a couple of membership issues that were handled by the wonderful Rebecca in membership. Nothing was too much trouble for Rebecca and over emails, Rebecca was kind, polite and on top of it throughout. You are a credit to your employer, thank you all.
