Betty kessell I went wanting just gel on my hands seeing as a the price said £20, unfortunately I asked for a manicure so I was charged £30. However, the manicure I did get was not worth £10 extra pounds I wasn’t expecting to pay. It was rushed and sloppy, my cuticles are ripped and bleeding. The gel polish too was done very quickly and not very well.

Rina Gill A treatment with Bernice at Canonbury Beauty is not just a treatment, its an out of body experience. Her authentic warmth and years of skill and experience makes one feel in the safest of hands. Her collagen facial is comprehensive and out of this world. The deep cleanse and full process complete with massage with ice balls with fragrant orange blossom oil left me walking on air. I have vowed to make this a regular calendar date for myself. Its just so rare to find a beauty professional with not just the loveliest heart and personality but also the loveliest hands and best technique and knowledge. I cannot recommend Bernice highly enough. A treatment with her is a transformative experience. But book early because she is a sole practitioner who runs this establishment more or less on her own. How she does it, I dont know. But she has made Canonbury Beauty a highly sought after oasis in Islington and what she brings to our little part of the world is really quite extraordinary. As lovely as the surrounds and the atmosphere undeniably are, its the staff and the people that make a business which is why this is the only beauty salon worth considering in North London. And Ive tried a few. Ask for Bernice and lie back and give yourself a truly holistic treat.

Stevie-louise Dawes This is my second time coming here and this time was for my wedding nails and pre wedding pedicure. This was my first ever pedicure, and oh my god was it amazing, the massage chair was amazing, the gent who did the pedicure was so gentle. He offered me a drink as soon as I was in the chair. The salon is so amazingly decorated and maintained. All the staff are amazing and welcoming. Then I got the most stunning set of acrylics I think I’ve ever got, the lady who did the acrylics took her time and made sure they were perfect. Also a lot cheaper than I had expected but well worth the money. Will be coming again
