5 /5 Martin Jackson: I’ve tried a number of gyms over the years, but nothing ever really clicked. I’d go for a few weeks, try some classes or use the equipment on my own, but I often felt unsure of what I was doing and ended up getting bored or unmotivated.
Riverside Fitness House has been a completely different experience. I started with personal training sessions with Tony and Jo and they made a huge difference right from the start. They were welcoming, knowledgeable and really focused on building my confidence and helped me set realistic goals. Tony also gave me some really helpful nutrition guidance early on, which made a big difference and helped me stay on track outside of the gym too.
I’ve since moved into semi-private coaching with Nick and Keith, which has continued to be just as enjoyable and effective. The sessions are well-structured, tailored to your level and you still get lots of individual attention and encouragement. There’s a real sense of community here too - everyone is friendly and supportive and the coaches genuinely care about your progress.
Now, four months in, I’m still enjoying it and have seen noticeable improvements, both in how I feel and in what I can do. For someone who used to dread going to the gym, that says a lot!
If youve struggled to stick with a gym before or felt like you didn’t quite fit in, I can’t recommend Riverside Fitness House enough. It’s been a fantastic experience from day one.
