1 /5 Ieva B.: Just wondering when the hip thrust bench in the ladies area will be replaced? It’s been in an absolutely disgusting condition for around 6 months now. The leather is completely ripped, with visible mould all over it, exactly where you place your back. So not just general wear and tear, but a clear health and safety and hygiene hazard, which apparently no one seems to care about.
Especially interesting considering the gym advertises “new kit just landed”.
Since membership prices are increasing quite heavily, I don’t think members should be expected to use equipment with exposed mould and potential health risks.
The ladies area is also very often unkempt, dirty, equipment missing or scattered around.
In the changing rooms, lockers are being used as personal storage, with belongings left locked overnight for months. Might as well start doing the same soon, as there will be no free lockers left.
I’ve been going to this gym for nearly 4 years, and since the management change, all of these issues seem to be consistently overlooked. At least before, signage was put up reminding people to remove their belongings when leaving the gym.
So yes, basic rules no longer followed, health and safety hazards everywhere, and no one taking responsibility.
