1 /5 Y s: I had a terrible experience at New York Nails. I booked a 10:00 AM appointment in advance and arrived 18 minutes late due to traffic. I apologised and was told it was fine, so they proceeded.
After briefly soaking and scraping my nails, I was told they couldn’t do my manicure and to do the pedicure first. The pedicure was completed, but I was then left waiting for nearly 2 hours and told I’d need to wait another 40 minutes. Almost 3 hours for a simple appointment is unacceptable.
When I questioned this, a male staff member became aggressive and started shouting, blamed me for being late, and physically removed my slippers and told me to leave, saying they didn’t need me as a customer. This was intimidating and completely unprofessional.
They then tried to charge me for nail services that were never done. I refused and only paid ÂŁ33 for the pedicure, which was the only service completed.
This business has no respect for customers’ time, lies about availability, and overbooks to maximise profit. The behaviour I experienced was shocking. I will never return and do not recommend this place.
