I strongly advise staying away from Beauty Basics Salon in Hayes, especially from Hema. From the start, she insists on cash payments, regardless of the service amount. I paid for an anti-frizz treatment that completely damaged my hair. When I shared photos of the damage, her response was dismissive: “Don’t worry darling, just condition it.”
I had gel nails done by Savi, and all 10 nails peeled off within three days. When I informed Hema, she simply said she couldn’t believe it happened.
Hema appears friendly but is extremely money-focused and not customer-oriented. If you value your hair, nails, and money, avoid this salon.
I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but I feel it is important to share my honest experience. Three days after the anti-frizz treatment, when I washed my hair, the damage became obvious. The conditioning treatment offered afterward did not resolve the issue—my hair returned to the same unpleasant state after washing. My hair has always been smooth, silky, and wavy, and unfortunately, this treatment has not done me any favors. I also felt that the focus was more on cash payment than on customer satisfaction; even after spending £300 on treatments and products, I was still charged £5 for a small service like eyebrow shaping. This is a genuine and honest review based on my experience.
