Body In Sync Pilates & Yoga - 23 Wharf St

Rating: 5 /5
Carmela Hoang I had such a great experience at Body in Sync studio! The space is spotless, beautifully maintained, and has a relaxing, welcoming ambiance from the moment you walk in. The studio overlooks the River Thames, which adds a really peaceful touch to the sessions—it’s such a lovely view to work out with. I had my first beginner session with Shanice who was incredibly enthusiastic and genuinely welcoming, which made me feel comfortable and motivated throughout. The music was perfectly chosen to set the right mood, and even small details like the fresh, clean scent of the studio really stood out. The price is very reasonable for the overall experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene and uplifting place to practice Reformer Pilates!

PFT Academy -

Rating: 5 /5
Clare My son loves his sessions at PFT Academy! The coaches noticed he was quiet to begin with and supported him to join in with the session and enjoy being with the group. He enjoys the sessions as they are structured enough to know what he needs to do but relaxed enough that he can experiment with skills he has learnt and extend them, learning new things.

Shi Kon Martial Arts International - Chatham Hill

Rating: 5 /5
Marcus Brown Shi Kon specialises in Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Ladies Kickboxing. It is easy to find on Chatham Hill. There is ample parking available on the hill. The club has a family like feel and is led by outstanding instructors and assistants. I was made to feel very welcome after a 20 year break from martial arts and crossing over from aikido. There is a broad cross section of men women, and kids of all ages and abilities. Unlike other clubs, this is a full contact club and teaches martial arts in a practical way that can be realistically applied if needed, unlike clubs which teach only the theory and form. The club is well resourced and the dojo is roomy and spacious. Gradings are done at the discretion of the instructors and in an informal way rather than a rigid exam or test. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and instruction is taught using their syllabus with an emphasis on flexibility and application in real life situations, rather than taught modules that are purely academic and static. The dojo has male and female changing rooms with showers, toilets, washbasins, etc. Theres a cloakroom area and students can leave shoes and personal belongings on a rack. The website is extensive and informative and new students can get started by watching the online videos. The uniform is jet black with a crimson red logo. The club shop sells all kit including trousers, tunics, T shirts, bags, hats, water bottles, kickboxing gloves, hoodies and so forth, all adorned with the clubs emblem. See their website for further details and to arrange free taster lessons. You wont regret joining this club. One of the best decisions I made and If you are returning to martial arts or starting from scratch, this is the club for you. Good luck on your spiritual and physical journey!
