What Clients Are Saying JD Gyms Milton Keynes (GG)
1 /5 Andrzej Bojarski: I have been a member for two years and during that time old equipment is constantly unavailable. Broken equipment is reported to employees but waits for weeks to be repaired. Additionally, for several months there has been no means of disinfecting the equipment. I really enjoy spending time here (the employees are very nice and helpful) but the constantly unavailable equipment makes training impossible. I am considering switching to the PureGym, who are next door and have replaced all the equipment with new ones.
1 /5 Roddy Stewart: I saw they had a £5 for the first month promotion. So thought I’d give it a go. Went there with my friend, the place is an absolute dump. Filthy equipment, music blaring, liquids and bottles spilled all over the gaff. Good selection of equipment but a lot wasn’t in good condition. The whole place is nasty. Went twice and I shall not be returning, even at a quiet time at 5am it still wasn’t worth it. I’m usually not fussed about showering at a gym, but this place is a no go zone. I can’t believe JD have attached their name to these abysmal location and equipment, disgusting. It wouldn’t surprise me if Covid originated from this disgusting place. If you go then wear a hazmat suit and take anti aids medication.
1 /5 Sarah Kay: Extremely unsanitary gym and way, way too busy. If the gym insists on taking on so many members then it must keep up with hiring more cleaning staff and providing more sprays and towels to clean equipment. There is none provided in the women’s section for members to wipe down their machines. The toilets are dirty with sanitary towel bins overflowing and the soap dispensers empty of soap most of the time. The hairdryers I doubt are ever wiped clean as they feel greasy to even touch, and the matts in the women’s area are often dirty and muddy. The gym is so busy even outside of peak hours, but if you do attend at peak hours, don’t expect to find any parking at all!!
2 /5 Brand C: The gym equipment is ancient is the same equipment from the gym before. I see dirt or forgotten belongings sit in places for months at a time. I went to the sauna here for a couple of months I saw a piece of chewing gum remain in the sauna for about 2 months. Most People in the gym have no respect for equipment or the people. You can’t take this gym seriously I’ve been here since open and the pec fly machines have been broken for nearly 4 years now that is a joke can easily be fixed but I do not know why it hasn’t. Considering how much this gym brings in on a monthly basis as well as the fact they rent the unit and even decreased the size of the gym compared to exercise 4 less and reused the machines that were at exercise 4 less you’d think they’d have the money to fix the machines or bring a new one from what I’ve heard approximately 6000-7000 people have membership which would equate to around 180k-220k monthly bring in and can’t replace dumbbells that are missing or broken now for about 4 months now is kind of ridiculous. Something needs to be done as I have now reached the point where this is making my time in the gym worse and worse each week.
This is my gym and I do love working out here but there’s loads of little things that keep building up. You Can have very good workouts here and good conversations but is getting less enjoyable to come here.
4 /5 Warner Dylan (Swagmaster6676): Been a Member for a little over 3 months and love it. Equipment, while a little older than Pure gyms, feels great to use with a much heavier emphasis on weights rather than cardio like some other commercial gyms.
Love the boxing area a great way to unwind after a stressful day with a nice amount of bags for multiple people to use at once.
Sauna is fantastic and is a great way to relax after a long session at the gym as well as the showers are great especially with the cold shower allowing you to do a sauna then cold plunge.
Only issue I have is that equipment can be out of order for a long time and its just due to general wear and tear from lots of use.
Even with the little issues I plan to keep going on a regular basis.
Louise Richards Amazing Pilates teacher, always very varied, never the same boring routine like many others. I love and enjoy my classes with Sarah, thank you 5*
Loreta Beleckaite Amazing place to achieve your own goals whether loosing weight, building muscle, recovering from injuries, or just trying different way of getting fit. At Bodystreet you can expect professional and personalised approach, friendly atmosphere and support. The best part is that you can adjust the intensity of each workout and it takes no more than 20 minutes a week. Highly recommend!
D A Great place with everything you could need. It is well maintained, staff are friendly, and there is so much on offer including the gym, pool, spa, diving, soft play, loads of classes, climbing, swimming lessons, a library, community centre, sports hall and squash courts. It is ideal for all ages and interests.
Pippa Wild-Smith BXL Boxing Lounge is hands down the best gym I’ve ever trained at! Matt and Mike are incredible coaches! Their energy, knowledge, and passion for what they do make every single session motivating and enjoyable. Whether you’re brand new to boxing or more experienced, they make you feel welcome and push you to be your best. The atmosphere is friendly, supportive, and full of positive vibes, and the small class sizes mean you get loads of personal attention. I always leave feeling stronger, fitter, and part of a great community. Highly recommend!
