1 /5 Irgena Celaj: I had a terrible experience at Goodlooks today. I asked for a dark brown hair color, but the result was completely wrong and looked nothing like what I wanted. The stylist didn’t even apologize for the mistake. To make things worse, the receptionist was rude and dismissive. As a first time customer, I was supposed to receive 25% off, but they didn’t honor the discount. Overall, it was extremely disappointing, and I will never be going back.

5 /5 Helen Sinclair: Booked last minute as staying in Blackheath for a few days. Only needed shampoo conditioner and blow dry. The stylist who washed my hair was lovely had the best shampoo and head massage. Very pleased with finish. Both my daughters commented on how lovely it looked. If I am in Blackheath again would definitely go there. Plus products first class.

1 /5 Juliette Cooper: Good Looks is slightly more expensive than counterparts in lee or Eltham which isn’t a huge surprise given that Blackheath is known for being pricey, so you naturally associate this with better customer service and over all experience. Unfortunately not this time. I went in for an eyebrow and upper lip wax (yes age has given me too many hairs to pluck) and within an hour after the wax I noticed marks much more red than they should be post-wax on my lip and brow - my lip looked as though a small piece of skin had been peeled off. Within a day the lip mark was very sore with a huge scab - As my friend told me - I looked like I’d sneezed a bloody scab. Not the look I was going for. I emailed with images and heard nothing and then when I went in the receptionist told me I must have scratched myself!! I explained I wouldn’t be standing in front of her mentioning this if I had scratched myself. She then told me quite loudly that mark was impossible from a wax when it’s perfectly obvious that it’s not. It’s quite embarrassing standing in the middle of a beauticians negotiating a lip wax gone wrong, and to be told I must have scratched myself without realising (or to imply that I’m lying to get a refund of 20quid) is pretty poor. When the manager and beautician came out they reluctantly agreed to offer a refund and the beautician kindly gave me a bottle of Aloe Veera which I appreciated until I got home and found it was second hand, quarter full and dirty. A real shame as this is meant to be of a good standard but making a customer feel unheard and wrong when there was clearly a fault with the treatment I think is pretty shoddy. Wouldn’t recommend the treatments or venue on the basis of the customer service. Could and should have been dealt with better unfortunately.
