CHAMPIONS MMA - London

Rating: 5 /5
Mariam Mohamed My five-year-old niece and nephew have enrolled to Champions MMA, and it has been a fantastic experience. The coaches are exceptionally skilled and patient, making every session fun and educational for the kids. They emphasise not just the physical aspects of martial arts, but also values like discipline, respect and self-confidence. Highly recommend Champions MMA for anyone looking to introduce their children to martial arts in a supportive and professional setting.

Miss P Such a lovely studio, you’d never know the extent of it until you go inside. Really friendly staff and a beautiful space to do yoga in. The breath-work class was lovely and relaxing, I’ll be telling everyone in Richmond about this place ☺️ They also have a full range of treatment offers and the massage was lovely, you can then sit in their front of house café and it’s just perfect!

Maddalena Andriolo I’ve been lucky enough to have the benefit of Dee’s incredible teaching for many years. Before meeting with Dee I struggled with back and shoulder pain and in a few lessons the pain was gone! I would always be grateful to her personalised dedication to my body and attention to those details that I would otherwise never notice. She’s just the right amount of challenging and fun and I look forward to my classes every week and can’t imagine what my body would be like without them! Highly recommend.

Gymbox Westfield London - Ariel Way

Kosta Deteriorated Gym, and Not in the Good Way. Been a member for 6+ years. Have seen negligible reinvestment of gym membership fees. I’m talking upkeep of equipment, not procurement of 3 additional pull-up bar pulley stations to provide a grand total of six pull up bars, before counting the calisthetic bars. I can do pull ups at home. Grappling zone mats haven’t been replaced since I joined. Boxing ring cover is held together with duct tape. Boxing bags are falling apart (though those bags take some punishment keep grinding lads). Sauna’s out of order for almost 6 weeks, meaning it’s been good for nothing over flu season and the cold months of November/December. Incessant cleanliness issues in the changing rooms. Yes, we’ve received new pulley machines this year, but PureGym installed a new compliment battery of BootyBuilder machines, and back at GymBox all the carabiners for the cable machines have promptly gone walkies. Procurement have decided to stock the gym with 4 different brands of weights, meaning only the power racks have a decent number if weights, for everything else you have to go on a pilgrimage from one end of the gym to the other to rack up a symmetrical bar. Was going to give 3 stars until coming in today and not being able to find enough carabiners for the pull up cable stations… Only thing that keeps me going is the full padded-wall grappling zone, but this place doesn’t seem to appreciate that for the worth it has - there’s word that the grappling zone is going to go. Over 6 years I’ve introduced 8 members to the gym just thanks to that zone alone. Unable to get the same concessionary membership I have, all but 1 have discontinued their memberships, if the grappling zone goes I’ll have zero reason to point colleagues and training partners here. I remembered coming in to see a fully matted zone, a full size crash mat and a welcoming combat community, now it’s a sad six years later to see classes canned and the community at risk being pushed out. But hey, we got a new sled with HYROX stamped on it.

Ersilia Russo I had my first Hot Yoga experience and it was incredible! The studio was very welcoming and clean, the teacher was particularly helpful, especially because I was new. I enjoyed the little details, such as the coconut cream in the changing room and the tea cups available after class. The environment was non-judgmental and made me feel at ease. I felt so relaxed after the class and I am definitely going back next week!
