I cannot begin to tell you the huge impact that my time at Roar has had. I first stepped foot in the gym in April this year awaiting the unknown: was I strong enough?, would I keep up?, would it hurt?! Concentrating and focusing on just yourself may seem a vain characteristic, but attending the gym produces an inner strength to adapt to a healthier lifestyle. I found that not only did I lose weight (yayy!), I felt physically and mentally a better version of myself and, of course, slept well! My deportment has improved and I now find myself walking tall and proud of my achievements!
What I liked above all else, was the feeling that I wasn’t being judged – my size and fitness levels only taken into account for the work outs, and nutrition. Although it was busy at times, I often felt like the only person in the gym and this is a result of the fantastic coaching from Josh.
Josh’s ability to connect, understand and encourage clients is admirable and over the course of almost 6 months, I never experienced him having a bad day! I, however, had quite a few (!) but his infectious laugh and cheery smile was always a true welcome at our gym sessions. Due to Josh’s patience, dedication and understanding of client needs (ie, mine!) has enabled me to reach personal goals otherwise unobtainable – and the necessary guidance to maintain focus to continue on my own.
I have “taken off the stabilizers” and ventured to the gym on my own – not the same as his coaching at Roar, but Josh has provided me with the confidence and enthusiasm to continue on this journey. THANK YOU for your endless efforts in allowing me to focus on myself, Josh - You are a legend!
