The kit is modern, the layout is sensible, and there’s usually enough space to avoid an unexpected brush with someone else’s biceps. In short: great gym, cracking value, but the early-morning climate could double as a cryotherapy chamber. Bring layers, embrace the British grit, and consider the warm-up your first survival exercise of the day.

Despite it being winter, the heating is turned off and the air conditioning is on, which is making the training environment extremely cold. This has made it very uncomfortable to train, particularly when holding cold metal bars and equipment. Beyond comfort, this also raises safety concerns, as cold temperatures can increase the risk of muscle and joint injuries. I would appreciate it if this issue could be reviewed and the heating adjusted appropriately during winter months to ensure a safe and comfortable training environment for members. 1 /5 James Howse: In the gym right now. Its absolutely freezing every time I come in here. Theres also no plate loaded machines which makes it difficult to train with a bit of diversity. Thanks for the response. Im here again, its freezing again. I havent started my workout and I can see my breath as I breath out. Thats how cold it is in here. Ive come in a 3rd time since posting this review, again, no change. The gym is still ice cold. People are posting messages at the staff counter asking for the heating to be turned on. Im going to train with gloves on because honestly, its that cold.

1 /5 Denys Kharchenko: I’m very disappointed with this gym. The heating is not working, and it’s below zero outside. This is not the first time, and nobody is fixing the problem. We pay for proper conditions, but the gym is cold and it’s impossible to train comfortably. I hope the management finally takes action.
