5 /5 Hardeep Dhillon: We had the most wonderful Christmas getaway and honestly could not fault our stay. From the very beginning, every single request was fulfilled — from being placed in the same block, to early check-in, to cots and high chairs ready for us. The apartments were immaculately clean, spacious, and incredibly convenient for families with young children. Christmas at Old Thorns was truly special. From Christmas Eve dinner and breakfast to Christmas Day lunch, the service was exceptional. Every member of staff worked tirelessly, always with a smile, making sure our Christmas was memorable while we simply relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. You could genuinely feel how much effort went into creating such a warm, festive atmosphere. A special mention to the maintenance team — when we had an issue with the heating, they came immediately, showed real care, and didn’t leave until it was fully working. That level of attentiveness meant so much, especially with children. We absolutely loved the bar atmosphere, spending many enjoyable moments there, and the spa and swimming facilities were spotless, beautifully maintained, and perfectly warm for the children — something that really stood out to us. We would like to personally thank just some of the amazing people who looked after us from day one of booking right through to the end of our stay: Ben, Dan, Kirsty, Fiona, Jordan, Gemma, Mary Rose, and Kelly. helping us book from our first email Carmel, and Alex Grey (who was incredibly helpful with the booking via email). Truly though, every single member of staff from the moment we stepped foot into Old Thorns was welcoming, professional, and kind. If I were to suggest just two small additions to make the experience even better: • Slippers and gowns available in the rooms • A porter service or luggage trolley to help transport bags to the apartments Overall, an outstanding Christmas stay — warm, organised, family-friendly, and genuinely memorable. 5 /5 Sue Davies: Came here for the NYE Mascarade ball. Nothing to fault. Well worth every penny. Would definitely recommend coming here. And returning again. . Also have booked a few tribute nights here too. Very Impressive hotel. Thankyou for such a brilliant experience for NYE.

5 /5 Vanessa Boudier: We arrived this week for a NYE celebration with a small group of friends. We had upgraded to a Delux room however we had a number of issues with the room itself which was disappointing. We discretely went to reception and our concerns were handled professionally, diplomatically and kindly by the manager Daniel P. It was an exceptionally busy night for the hotel yet they still relocated us immediately to a different area of the hotel without quibble and asked another member of staff to help move our things. We will be returning in the future and had a wonderful NYE celebration event. Highly recommended.

5 /5 Amy Mcleod: I have really enjoyed my 2 night stay. We have a superior room with breakfast and dinner package. Service: I cant fault, I never had to wait for anything, staff were polite and attentive. We used room service and it was speedy. Room: comfortable, beds are on the firmer side, not right for me but I still slept well, large size, great bathroom, with hand wash, shower gel and shampoo, would have been nice to also have conditioner. The products used are very nice. Water is hot which is lovely. Kings resturant: food delicious, speed of service exceptional. Atrium (champagne) bar: beautiful mocktails lovely setting, would like the music to be quieter but thats just my own preference. It was a beautiful room. Sports bar: great fun, loud but its a sports bar that is expected! Great food. Oties: fun spot. Great coffee! Lots of places to sit around the hotel. Its a calm nature. Just lovely. Did not use the golf course. Ample parking. Pool: lovely when its not busy, lovely tempature. Hubby loved the gym. Spa: fantastic! Well relaxed and worth the money. We stayed here February but everything was booked out for a wedding, dissapointed and spent most time in our room, were able to return at a discounted price, Im glad we did. I will return (when theres not a wedding) Thank you to all staff.

5 /5 Janet Hutchinson: An attractive hotel and golf resort, which we stayed at as we purchased tickets for the Christmas Ball. The hotel was attractive and the rooms large and very comfortable, with the biggest bed Id ever seen! The Ball was fabulous, in a beautifully decorated, festive room, with a great live band and lovely food. One of the best things about this place, is the helpful staff. The reception manager listened to an issue we had, and rectified it which made a huge difference to the beginning of our stay. Others were friendly and helpful too. A good breakfast included in our room rate, in a beautiful open, high ceilinged room completed our stay. We would come again.
