1 /5 Yasmine Chantel: I rarely leave negative reviews, but this appointment was a complete waste of time and energy. I purchased a Groupon for a manicure and pedicure, arrived early, was polite, and had simple expectations — just a basic, professional service before traveling the next day.
From the moment I sat down, her energy was cold and unwelcoming, and communication was minimal. The advertised “no-chip gel” turned out to be regular nail polish, and when I asked for clarification, she grew visibly impatient. I chose to pay extra to upgrade to Shellac however, there were only four or five colour options, none with display tips. I chose dark blue, but it came out as a watery pastel. As soon as I noticed, I mentioned it to save both of us time. She insisted it was just the first coat, despite the lack of pigment that even ten coats would not fix or come close to matching the colour shown on the bottle and packaging.
She repeatedly said Groupon services are supposed to be quick, claiming she had “never had this issue before,” as if I were being unreasonable or difficult. I explained I didn’t mind a quick service as long as it was done properly — I was calm and cooperative, but she made it clear she wasn’t interested in doing the job and kept mentioning she had another customer in an hour which should have been more than enough time. The way she spoke, you’d think I was responsible for her decision to advertise on Groupon.
I politely suggested she might prefer to just end the appointment and process a refund through Groupon. There was no apology or courtesy — just dismissiveness. I still thanked her when leaving, and she didn’t respond.
I left with my nails undone, my time wasted, and unnecessary stress. I wouldn’t recommend booking here unless you enjoy sub-par service and being treated like an inconvenience.
