5 /5 Ben: Just returned from our first trip to the Isle of Wight staying at Nettlecombe Farm. Its such a brilliant base from which to explore the island. We stayed at Forge Cottage - a lovely 2 bed cottage very close to the main farm. It has a lot of character and rustic charm but also very comfortable and with all the amenities you could want for a week stay. The morning trips to feed the animals on the farm were a big highlight for us. We mainly went with Tallulah and she was absolutely brilliant with all the children. This is a unique experience as the children (and adults) can really get up close to the animals such as brushing the pony and hand feeding the chickens. Cannot recommend Nettlecombe enough, especially if youre visiting with small children. Were already planning a trip back with friends next year

We have been returning over the years bringing our children, our parents and also our grandchildren. We also bring our dogs too when visiting as it is perfect for them too. The walks are stunning. Its a perfect place for families and couples. There is fishing, which my husband, son and father have enjoyed too. There are plenty of beaches to choose from and all have dog friendly areas in the peak season too. I would definitely recommend Nettlecombe farm to stay the accommodations are perfectly equipped, and clean. We will definitely be visiting again

We stayed in the beautiful Oats Cottage, which was a perfect blend of cozy charm and rustic elegance. The cottage had everything we needed, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the farm experience itself. The highlight for us was the cattle feeding – it was an incredible experience to get up close to the animals and see the daily workings of a real farm. The farm is absolutely stunning, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt part of the farm life. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with a true taste of rural life, Nettlecombe Farm is a hidden gem. From the idyllic setting to the welcoming atmosphere, everything was perfect. We left with full hearts.

5 /5 Jim Dignan: We were delighted to have found such a wonderful holiday venue for our visit to the Isle of Wight with our grand-daughter and her parents. Our cottage, Robin, was perfect with its separate bathrooms and extremely well-equipped kitchen. The provision of an EV charger was an added bonus. The adjoining paddock, with its extensive range of play equipment, was in instant hit with our three-year old grand-daughter, but the highlight of her holiday had to be the daily animal feeding visits with Tallulah. Whitwell is perfectly located for visits to the islands many child-friendly attractions and also its extensive network of way-marked footpaths. This family run business has come up with a perfect formula for ensuring that guests can enjoy a stress-free holiday in beautiful surroundings. We look forward to a return visit.
