3 /5 G: I have to be real with this review. There are both pros and cons with this gym experience overall. Firstly, the positives -the equipment is good, very wide ranging weight training offering here - and it’s all new, 6-months. The staff are fine - they’re nice. There aren’t that many of them around. However, there’s no air conditioning - in summer it’s very stuffy and hot inside. The changing rooms are in a poor state, scruffy, broken lockers, and haven’t been touched since the previous tenants left, other than to remove soap from the showers. The sauna and steam room have never opened despite being advertised from the start. There are no classes here. This would be a great place to offer lifting instruction to groups but there’s nada. For the price, it’s on the high side for Brighton given the pretty basic offering.
