5 /5 asiya ali: I came to the Botanical Mission shop for a mask-making workshop. I had been following their social media page for a while and was interested in visiting but wasnt sure where to begin. This was a lovely introduction getting to know the space.
The space and workshop were intimate and calming, a little slice of serenity along Mornington Crescent high street. Upon arriving, I was greeted warmly and given a fresh cup of brewed nettle tea and got to make my very own face masks. I met the lovely duo who founded the clinic, Hafsa and Nirvana. It was very clear how passionate, knowledgeable and sincere they are in the work they do, theyre also just such rays of light. We got into so many wonderful conversations about tea, skincare, health, cultures, careers and life.
They advised me on how to make a calming mask and a detoxifying mask, and gave me advice on using oils to mix them with and where/how to apply them based on my needs.
I was already eager to seek out the amazing treatments that this special place provides at some point, but now Im sure I will be returning soon!
It means a lot to see a place that seeks to help clients with the internal part of their health along with the external through genuine holistic measures and scientific studies. In a world where the word "wellness" is thrown around so much, I feel the true meaning gets obfuscated. What does it mean, how do we take care of the inner, mental and outer part of ourselves? Im excited to find out knowing this resource exists and cant wait to come back, inshallah.
