5 /5 Gordon: TLDR - Dale’s pilates classes are simply outstanding. Welcoming, fun, challenging, reformative.
It’s been almost exactly one year since I started going to a group class run by Dale. When I began I had chronic groin pain that meant I couldn’t just not play my beloved football properly but I was struggling to run around with my kids. Fast forward one year and I’m playing football with total intensity and jumping around like a fool in the garden with the kids. How? Dale’s pilates. She is incredibly knowledgable about the body. She is so well researched about our physiology. She knows how to protect, strengthen and challenge to keep our bodies doing what we want them to do. Dale knows each person and their bodies and manages to make group sessions broad enough for everyone while maintaining the individual touch. She is such a lovely person and also really motivating, there isn’t a chance I’d push myself half as far on my own. And nor would I do the exercises right - Dale is so knowledgeable about each exercise she does, there’s no “pointless filler” exercises here. Just well researched, focussed moves tho at target specific muscles.
The class itself is made up of supportive people who are really fun to be with. Some of the folk there are testament to the awesomeness of Dale’s pilates teaching ability. Bad backs made better, sore knees much improved, 80 year olds who look like they’re 60, 60 year olds who look like they’re 45.
You get my drift. If you want to look after your body (which you really should do) and you can make it to Dale’s class, do it.
