5 /5 PAUL DOHERTY: Discover the True Spirit of Brazilian Jujitsu
Having trained in Brazilian jujitsu for around 13 years, I’ve come across many places that feel borderline cult-like, with narcissism permeating the atmosphere like an unwelcome fog. Yet, I am truly fortunate to be part of a different experience.
The head coach, whom I have known for several years, is without a doubt one of the kindest and most humble people I’ve ever met in my 45 years. It is a privilege to train under someone with such genuine character.
This gym feels like a family-friendly environment, filled with fantastic people who share the same passion and respect for the art. I honestly can’t recommend it enough. Once you step through those doors and start training here, there’s no turning back. From that moment on, there is only progress.
A year down the line, you’ll find yourself growing not just as a jujitsu practitioner, but as a person. This journey has been truly transformative for me, and I hope it will be for you too.
