1 /5 Sara: I came into the salon with cherry red hair that had some darker patches (which I had done myself), and I wanted those areas lightened to match the rest of my hair. My goal was an even, vibrant cherry red all over, along with having my roots done. I made it clear that I liked the existing lighter tones and just wanted the darker areas corrected — essentially, a colour correction.
Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Bleach was applied to my entire head, and I ended up sitting in the chair for over four hours. Despite this, the darker patches were still visible, the overall colour wasn’t what I asked for, and my hair was left severely damaged. My baby hairs broke off, and the ends of my hair became extremely fried.
I trusted the stylists as professionals and assumed they would use the best approach, but it was clear they were juggling multiple clients at once. I was left with bleach in my hair for a long period, and again during the colouring process, which likely contributed to the damage.
I paid £200 for a result that fell far short of what I asked for — in fact, my hair looked better before the appointment. When I reached out afterward, they did offer to fix it for free and include treatments, but my hair can’t handle any more bleach. Given the outcome of my first visit, I don’t feel comfortable returning for further services.
