1 /5 Olivia Flynn: I used to go to this salon regularly pre-covid for haircuts and highlights. When my regular stylist left, I opted for a different salon for a while but recently decided to give this place another try. I had a terrible experience on my return, the hair stylist Ersan kept pushing his opinion over what I asked for and noticeably cut off more than I wanted but overall it seemed ok as he partially blow dried it to make it look better. When I got home and was able to properly check myself I noticed that all over there were parts which were completely different lengths and the face framing was also totally wonky - so I emailed about this via their online contact form and got no reply (apparently message was not received). Then I called and they said I could go back in so they could correct it, and I asked for a different stylist so it wouldnt be awkward. When I went back in, they hadnt arranged a different stylist and of course the original guy kept insisting there was nothing wrong with the cut, that it was to create shape like we talked about (he suggested it, I said I wanted to stick to my usual style). It got to the point where I said dont touch it anymore, I want to leave and started crying because I wasnt being listened to and was just being talked over with more being cut off and still no actual progress. The owner then wanted to help by getting a female stylist to look at it, which she did, but the original stylist stood next to us and stared at me visibly angry the whole time. Totally unacceptable. The owner said all that matters is that it was fixed in the end, but completely didnt get that the behaviour was not ok and that it doesnt matter if the stylist has a different opinion when I didnt ask for his opinion, I asked for a service based on my personal preferences... Im a 30 year old woman and I shouldnt be reduced to tears over a haircut and fragile male ego. It also still isnt close to what I wanted in the first place, they just patched up the hack job.
