1 /5 Ella Yurtsever: I finally found the time to write this review after a very busy week. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place, specifically the Mayfair townhouse.
The biggest issue is their booking system. There is absolutely no flexibility. If something goes wrong or requires even a few extra minutes, they won’t extend your appointment because the next client is already booked. In my case, something needed to be fixed, but instead of resolving it, they simply sent me home and told me to contact customer service.
The salon itself was another disappointment. It’s extremely small, nothing like the photos, and the atmosphere feels unwelcoming. The staff were quite cold, which is surprising for a premium-priced service in London.
The most concerning part was the quality of the nail work. I only wanted a gel removal and new shellac. However, when trimming my nails, the technician cut straight through the middle, causing the nail to break. Normally, long nails are trimmed from the sides to prevent this. One nail ended up noticeably shorter than the rest, yet she continued without offering any solutions. The filing was uneven, the shellac was thick and patchy, and the final result looked unprofessional and uneven on every finger.
When I asked them to fix it, especially since I had a wedding and a flight the next day, they refused and told me again to contact customer service. Thankfully, customer service eventually refunded me, but it took unnecessary back and forth to get there.
I had the nails redone at another salon, where the technician was shocked by how uneven, thick, and poorly done the previous work was. (Last picture)
Overall, I would not recommend the Mayfair townhouse. For the price and the brand reputation, the experience and quality were extremely disappointing. Not going there again.
