2 /5 Adam Marley: Dirtiest gym I’ve ever been in. The gym room is small and packed with equipment. The place stinks of feet and is grimy and filthy. The gym mats have dirt caked into the cracks and the equipment is old, worn out and in need of maintenance because the cables don’t run smoothly. I know that retro is a thing right now, but this is the bad kind of retro. The steam room wasn’t steamy; at best it was mildly humid. The whole place just smelled and looked dirty.

4 /5 GwenanJoy Billington-Vickers: Went for a spa day, and frankly the extra star to make it 4 would go to the spa team in general. Facilities: the space in general could do with a little bit of an upkeep, the changing rooms whilst pleasant- large shower cubicles, clean floors, good amenities it was notable whenever the mens opened into the pool area there was a strong smell of bodily fluids. Theres a pool, steam room and sauna, these were enjoyable but it could be noted some of the tiles were a bit dated and crumbly. Unlike some of the other Q hotels the spa here does not have a hot tub or heated beds. The rooms in general for spa treatment could have done with a little bit of a clean up: The spa lounge whilst having basic amenities: tea, coffee, chairs, just seemed a bit out dated and the loud crackling of the AC unit was far from relaxing. For treatment: as I lay down on the massage table I looked up to see thick dusty cobwebs and thought to myself how am I going to relax thinking of cleaning that thing? Thankfully the spa treatment made me have my eyes closed and I did in the end relax. I would highly recommend their facials and scalp massage! Food: in general it was okay, breakfast has some excellent variety and included poached eggs! However for lunch included in the spa day, the options were a little lackluster and most of the salad option was pretty much a plate of just huge chunks of tomatoes and cucumbers (no leaves to be seen)- there seemed to be less of a team around today so service was slow, and the lounge area the bartender didnt seem too sure of some of the tasks asked (a promoted drink with the measurements for serving on it was a bit of a challenge) however the staff were polite and the seating was comfortable. Would I visit again? Possibly, if there was a good deal on their spa treatments, however I would acknowledge the food provision issue is not alone to this particular Q hotel. There is potential, and for a spa treatment in itself it was pleasant enough.

1 /5 anuttara bhadra: Booked a Spa day today- paid £86 for a 25min neck/shoulder/scalp massage and a 25 scrub. The therapist JO was the worst therapist I have ever had. She was 10mins late so I was called at 11:10. The entire massage was rushed in 15 mins, she did one side of my arm, didn’t do the other side. She rushed the entire appointment and the massage was cut short. She had finished my appointment at 11:45am. This was such a disappointing day. I paid £86 for a 35 treatment which is ridiculous. When I raised it with the reception, I got blank looks from 3 members of staff. Nothing was done. The food for the spa day was atrocious. The chicken Caesar salad was disgusting. My mum had the halloumi salad which she was also extremely disappointing. The staff at the restaurant had no idea about what the menu consisted off and didn’t even bother to double check when we asked questions. The staff also said the chef/kitchen don’t have any olive oil for a vegetarian salad dressing. Overall VERY POOR. Jo the therapist was unprofessional and very poor at her job. Don’t waste your money at this spa.

1 /5 Samantha Kear: We were very disappointed, and now after looking at the reviews, what we experienced has been experienced by many others. Staff were inexperienced, had no customer service especially at reception on arrival and check out. Very uninterested, no information given, she had "couldnt be bothered attitude." Room was a good size, but grubby, toilet didnt flush, only provided with one towel that was in wardrobe and that was dirty, so didnt shower and the fan had thick dirt from it being used before and the TV didnt work properly. The food for our dinner was over cooked, and there was food splattered up the walls in the restaurant and our room. We also experienced a fire alarm that went off, no member of staff let us know it was a false alarm, we all just stayed seated. It wasnt until we went back to the room we found a letter from the hotel to apologise. Breakfast buffet was good, great selection, and staff more friendly far better than the day before. The above is just to name a few, we had such an awful experience, it was one thing after the other, we were glad to leave. I would not be returning or recommend to a friend.

1 /5 Ciara: Kids swimming lessons in the only pool at the spa from 3-7pm was not the surprise we had hoped for on our ladies spa day. When I raised this staff said sorry, it was meant to be on the website and will get this changed, which was disappointing after an hour and half drive to get here. There werent enough loungers for all the guests on a quiet day. The experience shower head were clogged with limescale so not working correctly. The ice machine was broken and the drains around the floor smelt quite bad from the pool. Facilities were dirty and run down with the water machine growing algae, though Showers and changing facilities were clean and working fully. Was meant to be a special day out, felt like an after-school club. You could find a more relaxing and clean experience for the money elsewhere.
