5 /5 Grace Brown: I can’t recommend Emma at The Retreat highly enough. For the past few weeks—if not months—I’ve been struggling with awful pregnancy-related sciatica. It got to the point where even getting out of bed or up from a relaxed position felt impossible. This afternoon I had a session with Emma, and I’m honestly amazed. She worked so skilfully on the targeted area, and I felt immediate relief. This evening, for the first time in what feels like forever, I was able to put my daughter to bed after feeding her—completely pain-free. Emma is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also so kind and reassuring. I’m beyond grateful and will absolutely be returning!

The treatment was so soothing, and my skin feels absolutely refreshed, hydrated, and glowing! The ambiance was perfect, and the products used from dermalogica were top-notch. Everytime I visit I feel like a weight has been lifted just by walking through the door. Everyone is professional and courteous, but also friendly and engaging. I love having a pedicure and catching up for a chat, or having a massage and being able to properly relax. Every service is always spot on, and I always leave happy and calm ☺️ I’ve visited Emma, Donna & Sophie, and they’re all amazing!

3 /5 Karen Rankin: I had a facial with Emma and apart from being painful as she decided to squeeze the pores on my nose very roughly, the facial was not at all relaxing which is what I had been looking for.. I e mailed her very politely just expressing my feelings and requested a refund which I felt fair. She offered me a 15% discount on any future facials which I didn’t feel was appropriate. After very kindly and politely pointing this out to her, she basically told me to find another salon. I found this to be very insulting as I have used her salon a lot and as I said earlier my correspondence with her was extremely reasonable and polite so I’m baffled by this harsh response. This was just constructive feedback that I offered and would’ve expected a kinder and more respectful response.
