1 /5 Antoniya Delcheva: I visited this salon for the first time and won’t be returning. There were few downsides which I will explain below.. I called in the morning to check if they had same-day availability, and they did, so I booked an appointment. They asked what service I needed, and I mentioned gel nails,no further questions were asked. When I arrived for the appointment, I sat down, and the technician asked if I knew what I wanted. I showed her a photo of the design I liked, but she immediately said she couldnt do it because she only had 30 minutes before her next appointment. I was a bit disappointed from the start. She advised me to mention next time that I wanted a design.
My suggestion to the salon is to ask the right questions when booking appointments since clients aren’t aware of your schedule or how much time a service requires. Its the salon’s responsibility to gather all the information needed and manage the time with appointments. I wasn’t asked over the phone if I wanted a design. Despite the initial frustration, I decided to give them
a chance. When the technician began removing my existing gel, she repeatedly asked what kind of gel it was, as it was difficult to take off. I told her I wasn’t a professional and didn’t know. In the end, my nails took an hour, well beyond the 30 minutes she originally mentioned. There was still no time to add a simple design on two fingers, which in my opinion shouldn’t have been difficult. In the end, my nails were done, and while they were okay (except one of my nails which turn out with bubbles) they weren’t what I had initially wanted or expected. Additionally, the salon was very dirty, the floor had muddy stains and there was hair collected underneath one of the desks, clearly not cleaned for a long time. The lighting in the salon was also odd; some bulbs over the desks were warm light(yellow), some were cool
light (white), making the overall atmosphere dark and depressing.
Another frustrating aspect was the payment process. They don’t have a POS terminal, so in 2024, with all the innovations for quick and efficient payments, they need to send you a link via email. Through this link, there’s no option for Apple Pay, which is inconvenient since many people no longer carry all their cards. Instead, you have to manually enter all your details—name, card number, billing address, and so on,which can take several minutes. To be honest I was expecting more of this salon, because I checked it on google and it seemed to be a good one according the reviews, unfortunately my experience wasn’t great.
