3 /5 Ryan Morgan: Great Facilities, but the Car Park Drama Ruins Everything
The Gym Itself (5 Stars):
Honestly, the actual gym facilities are fantastic. The equipment is always well-maintained, the space is clean, and the staff I see on the gym floor are friendly. For a workout, its an excellent place to be, and I highly recommend the facility itself.
The Car Park Nightmare (1 Star):
However, the whole experience is completely destroyed by the associated car park. The system is fundamentally broken. Ive encountered issues like the broken entry barrier and the inability to correctly register my car via the in-club keypad, resulting in unfair parking tickets even though I was parked correctly in a designated blue Gym Group bay and would use the signing system upstairs outside the gym entrance.. The constant anxiety of getting fined just for going to the gym is unacceptable and has drastically lowered my overall rating.
Management Response is Disappointing:
When I contacted The Gym Group about these issues, the email response I received was dismissive and appeared entirely biased in favor of the parking enforcement company. This lack of support for paying members who follow the rules is extremely frustrating. They wouldnt even give an update on when the barrier would be fixed so members dont have to sign in on a silly ipad and can just go straight in and get on with their workout.
Summary:
You are paying for a great gym, but you are also inheriting a terrible, stressful, and expensive parking issue that management seems unwilling to resolve or even seriously address. Fix the parking, and this would be a 5-star facility. Until then, approach with extreme caution. I left the gym back in September. Weve been meaning to put this review up.
