1 /5 Anna Ferorelli: I’ve been getting my nails done for years, and I have never encountered such unprofessional behavior. The technician was visibly annoyed from the start. When the gel began to burn and I briefly pulled my hands out of the lamp, she repeatedly told me to put them back in, in a very condescending tone, as if I didn’t understand what I was doing. I only needed a moment because it genuinely hurt.
Her attitude throughout the entire appointment was rude and disrespectful. When I asked about trimming the cuticles, she told me to “relax,” even though I was completely calm and simply trying to understand the process. When I asked to see the color options, she told me to get up and look at them myself instead of handing them to me while she was doing my nails. (Usually in all the nail salon I’ve been they handle me the colors while they do the service, but this lady decided to pick for me)
I had also planned to add charms, but she seemed so irritated that she completely forgot, and at that point I didn’t feel comfortable speaking anymore because of how she was treating me.
Overall the only suggestion I have is: try having a pleasant presence, now that I have read more reviews I understand that I’m not the only one who have experienced this treatment.
Paying more than 80 pounds for simple set of shellac on toes and nails and manicure should be a treat, you should feel better after walking out of the salon, instead of questioning why the technician was treating you with such low respect and zero patience when you went there just to get nails done.
The hygiene of the place is concerning as well, (the lady was using stained reusable gloves with a yellow substance, I noticed that they don’t change the reusable gloves at all), they should try to maintain their space clean if they can (because there was also an unpleasant smell, I suggest not to go to the bathroom as well as the smell gets even worse due to the poor cleaning).
The nail work itself is average, but the customer service is extremely poor. Based on how unwelcoming, dismissive the staff’s attitude was, I cannot recommend this place.
PS. It’s interesting how they keep giving excuses instead of actual apologies. Saying “relax” to a customer is too confidential, I hope it helps for next time.
