Liz R I joined just over a year ago following encouragement from a friend member.
I had been out of work for six months and due to my previous employment and other factors, my mental health was pretty bashed. My physical health will always need working on.
My friend gave me a guest pass and after the first visit I joined.
The reasons being as follows :-
A warm and genuine welcome ( no prejudging on size, age etc)
Wonderful facilities which are always clean or being cleaned.
Great and inclusive classes with wonderful staff ( May I please highlight Bev specifically), so encouraging and good fun.
The generic and demographic mix of members. ( Everyone fits in).
I can honestly say my mental health, self worth and self esteem plus some physical changes and benefits were restored, and that is all credit to your staff and wonderful facilities.
Re classes. They are very popular so it pays to book ahead as far as you can. Even trying to book early they are sometimes full but there is a waiting list system which helps.
The pool is fairly small and sometimes overcrowded, it just depends on the time of day.
Gym facilities are great and you can book an induction session to get you going or book mentoring sessions.
With various membership options, like rolling monthly membership you are not tied into a yearly contract.
