Sinclair The Mage Yeeehhhh BLOK is serious!! It’s the kind of place when you get there you say to yourself “this is what I’m talking bout”. Great facilities and trainers, whether boxing, Pilates or a hot and cold plunge it’s a dope and safe experience. The staff are incredible, so accommodating and don’t forget to grab a protein shake they are elite. Defo recommended for people who want a pro workout in a great atmosphere for sure.

Zara Joined recently. Staff are really friendly and helpful, the pool and facilities are clean and tidy. It has long opening hours that fit around work etc. Pool is big enough for lengths and has a shallow end for kids. Gym is small and no the most up to date but it’s more than adequate. Overall this is a good place to join.

Michaela Yearwood-Dan Ive never enjoyed being in the gym as much as I have ay Fitthis. and its probable because the staff and gym goers are friendly and the space feels super inclusive. Outside of my own routine, I train once a week with Izzy and shes given me a lot more confidence in my training and im seeing results. Like anything, there could be some improvements....eg. the changing room hand dyers (please i beg get new ones) but I find it reassuring that when inevitable breaks happen they are communicated well and fixed efficiently.

Tina Akiiki Kwezi Really enjoyed the class and atmosphere. Its a no fuss simple gym with an extra ordinary instructor who knows how to encourage you but also challenge appropriately. The exercises were challenging to the right level and it is a good vibe all round. Thank you and hope to be back whenever I can!

Robert Fitzgerald Cool old school gym. Lots of great, high quality equipment- most of it quite old but that’s part of the charm! Clean and tidy and wasn’t too busy when I went at 4pm. Everything works as it should. Staff are friendly and happy to help.

Neve Fraser A legit strength-training gym in Deptford with proper free weights, quality racks and a truly inclusive vibe. A spotless, modern and genuinely welcoming independent gym with an ego-free atmosphere. From my first tentative visit onwards, Darrel, the owner, has been friendly, extremely knowledgeable and always on hand to help. The gym is exceptionally well equipped, making it ideal for both beginners and more experienced members who want proper strength-training equipment without the intimidation. There is a strong community feel, many women train here confidently, and I’m now happily one of them. The coaching and support are excellent. Membership represents great value given the high standard of equipment and the environment. If you are looking for a clean, well-equipped, inclusive gym in SE8 with a positive vibe and proper support, The Fitness Laboratory in Deptford is outstanding. Highly recommended.
