Because the categories on their Treatwell app were unclear, I called in advance to specify my needs and my tight budget. Lina explicitly confirmed a fixed price over the phone and told me "not to worry," luring me into the salon.
The moment I arrived, her representation of the business was appalling. She completely denied our phone conversation, smugly claiming, “I first told you these prices,” while pointing to a board I had already rejected. She actually led me to the price board in front of another customer, smirking and flashing the higher rates as if to embarrass me. When I called out the contradiction, I received only a half-hearted apology while she continued to push the higher price.
While her reviews may show positive work, her attitude is cunning and deceitful toward new customers. It appears she only wants to accept overpriced clients—which is her choice—but to deliberately fool someone on a phone call just to get them through the door is a pathetic "bait-and-switch" tactic. Having a busy diary is no excuse for a total lack of integrity.
If you want your money’s worth with amazing ambiance and professional techs, I highly recommend Unit 37 Hair & Beauty Salon or Jenifer’s Nails. Both are on Treatwell, super efficient, and offer far superior service without the attitude and lesser priced ! . Avoid "In Style by Lina"—the services arent worth the unprofessionalism and dishonest communication.
