1 /5 Amishi Jha: I was really disappointed with my nails and honestly left feeling upset. This was my first time ever getting my nails professionally done, so I was really excited, but the experience completely ruined it for me. The nail tech was very sweet at first, but the whole appointment felt rushed. There was almost no nail prep, and when the extensions were applied there was a huge gap between my natural nails and the extensions. I asked for a simple medium almond shape. My nail beds are pretty symmetrical, so it should not have been hard. While using the drill, she took off way too much on my middle finger and thumb, turning them into a crooked stiletto shape. When I pointed it out, she told me not to worry and said she would fix it later. She never did.
Both of my thumbs are completely different lengths, and one of them is literally pointing in a different direction. The acrylic application is also extremely inconsistent. Some nails were drilled so much that the acrylic is thin, while others barely got drilled at all and look flooded and bulky. The French tips are all different thicknesses. Some are super skinny and others are thick and uneven, so none of them match.
To make things worse, after she had already applied the gel top coat and looked finished, she went back in with the drill on the sides of my nails. That removed the gel from the edges, and now my nails look like badly fitting press-ons.
The whole appointment took about an hour and a half, and it was honestly a stressful and disappointing experience. I would not come back here again. At the end, I was also asked to take photos of my nails for their website, which felt awkward considering how unhappy I was with how they turned out. On top of that, I left with acrylic still stuck underneath my nails, which was never cleaned up or removed.
