1 /5 Shahida Begum: I came to this salon based on the children’s pricing listed on their website — £16 for a haircut for kids under 12. I was not told about any extra charges before the haircut began. However, after the haircut was done, I was suddenly told I’d have to pay more because my child’s hair was “too thick” and they should have charged adult prices.
This was never mentioned in advance, and I find it very unfair to be told one price online, and then charged more after the service is complete. If there are conditions like hair type or thickness that affect the price, that should be clearly explained beforehand — not sprung on customers after the fact.
I left feeling disappointed and taken advantage of. I won’t be returning, and I hope they become more transparent in the future.
Thank you for your response, but I have to respectfully disagree. At no point during my visit was I told that the price might vary based on hair thickness, length, or style complexity. If you had informed me of that in person, I would have asked for a clear quote before agreeing to the haircut.
What’s more disappointing is that you also tried to charge for a blow dry that I did not request. It was done without warning, and no price was mentioned until the very end. That’s not how professional service works — customers should be informed of any added services and costs before they happen, not after.
Your claim that I was given this information is simply not true. I came in based on your advertised price of ÂŁ16 for children under 12. To be told afterward that I owe more for reasons never discussed feels deceptive and unprofessional.
