Ladies That Lift -

Rating: 4.7 /5
Katherine Terry Such great fun! I have been going to LTL for nearly two years now and still enjoy it just as much as when I first joined. The trainers and other ladies are so encouraging and it is great to train in an inclusive environment where everybody is supported to reach their own individual goals. It has definitely helped me to become more confident lifting weights in the gym and I have learned a lot.

Grapplers Den Balham - Weir Rd

Rating: 5 /5
Klara The best gym in London. These coaches will make you the best you can be, and have set a friendly and welcoming culture—everyone you roll with will be kind and respectful (and lethal). Technically excellent coaches, like Jav and Amrita, who frequently hone their skills at comps AND are great teachers, are extremely hard to find. The Muay Thai training from Paulina, Yousef & Younis is impeccable too, you’ll find yourself torn between grappling and striking as your two loves

Anytime Fitness Clapham Junction - Now Open!! -

Rating: 4.9 /5
Gabriele Naik I recently joined Anytime Fitness in Clapham Junction and I’m genuinely impressed. The equipment selection has been brilliant, there’s everything you need and it’s all in great condition. What’s really taken me by surprise is the gym culture here. Every single member I’ve seen actually uses the hygiene station after using equipment, which is pretty rare! People can be really lazy about this stuff, but not here – it makes such a difference to the overall experience. The staff presence is another big plus. There always seems to be plenty of staff around, and they all genuinely seem happy to be there. I haven’t needed help yet, but I can imagine they’d be really approachable if you were confused about anything. Despite being a big gym, it’s not at all intimidating. There are great little spots where you can focus on your own training – perfect if you want to do some recovery work or just lift weights by yourself without feeling like you’re in anyone’s way. Honestly, I’m shocked I didn’t join sooner. It completely outperforms all the other local gyms in terms of price, value, and what you actually get for your money. Highly recommend!

Good Life Yoga - Denmark Rd

Rating: 5 /5
Liz Baker Started doing online yoga with Alex during the Spring lockdown-sometimes three times a week. She is a genuine, friendly and enthusiastic teacher who obviously prepares her classes. I love that classes progress, over two to three weeks with a theme, introducing different poses and and flows. Alex gives clear instructions, often demonstrating first and makes you feel at ease in her gentle but challenging practice. Liz Baker

Physical Culture - Top Rated Putney Gym - 22 Winthorpe Rd

Rating: 5 /5
Leonardo Recrosio Truly the best gym in town. The equipment is top-notch, with a wide variety of brands and plenty of different plates, machines, barbells, and more. The owner is extremely nice and friendly, and he’ll tell you all the stories about the place. It’s exactly what you look for in an old-school gym. And the train passing every two minutes, making everything shake, just adds to the vibe. If you’ve never been here, just come — you’re not only missing out on a great workout, but also on a real experience.

Heartcore | Battersea Power Station - Nine Elms

Rating: 4.3 /5
M R I’ve been a customer for many years and genuinely love these reformer Pilates classes – they’re dynamic, well-structured, with great music and a consistently good vibe. The instructors are strong and the studio has always felt professionally run. One small point of feedback relates to the Battersea Power Station studio layout and the practice of locking the front door. Because the changing rooms, showers and toilets are at the back of the studio, if you forget something and need to retrieve it shortly after class, access can be awkward and unnecessarily uncomfortable. This happened to me recently: I returned about 15 minutes later to collect something I’d left in the changing room, found the door locked, and although the instructor could see me, it took some effort to explain why I needed to come in. I was of course let in and quickly retrieved my item, but the experience felt more embarrassing and disruptive than it should have been. Given that the studio offers changing rooms, showers and toilets, it would be helpful if these facilities remained easily accessible for a period after classes finish, or if there were a clearer process for re-entry. It would make an otherwise excellent experience feel more welcoming and client-friendly. Overall, a great studio though.
