1 /5 Crystal Essence: This place is very unprofessional. When you phone them for a booking they tell you they operate with a no appointment basis. I told them I was coming in on a specific day for a hair cut but when I attended in the afternoon they told me that the hairdresser will be in later in the afternoon as he has an appointment in the afternoon. When I attended they said that I was not booked in. When I told them over the phone I was advised it was a no appointment basis, she then said they do not operate with appointments. I was confused why she had to check the appointments book and why she said the hairdresser had appointments this afternoon so would be coming this afternoon? I was so confused but this wasn’t the first time they did this. Once I came from far and I was told the dresser would be in the morning. I waited for over an hour just to be told he was on his way now. My sister also had similar experiences where she had to take time off and was told she didn’t have an appointment and had to wait for 1-2 hours. Another issue is that they give you a quote over the phone, but once they are done with your hair, they charge you more. I only went to Aycan because my hairdresser had moved and I had no where else to go. I won’t be going to Aycan again as they are very unprofessional and don’t show much care to their customers.
