1 /5 Lauren Martin: I visited Ashley one year ago for what I believed to be microblading and lip blush. I was shown a Wow Brows brochure and led to believe that the brow procedure was microblading. Before starting, Ashley mapped and drew my brows, which looked symmetrical and well-shaped, so I agreed to proceed.
During the brow procedure, a friend of Ashley entered the premises and Ashley engaged in a casual conversation with them while tattooing my eyebrows. I found this extremely unprofessional and distracting, especially during a permanent cosmetic procedure.
Unfortunately, my concerns were justified. The final result left me with two completely different brow shapes. One brow appears significantly higher than the other, giving the impression that one eyebrow is constantly raised. This occurred because half of one natural brow was shaved off and tattooed much higher than the other. I had clearly asked for thin but full-looking brows, however the result was far thicker than requested, and I am very unhappy with them.
After the procedure, Ashley advised that the brows would improve once healed, but this was not the case. I was also informed after the treatment that the procedure was not microblading but a brow tattoo, which is far more permanent than what I had consented to. This information should have been made clear beforehand.
Additionally, I saw no visible results from the lip blush treatment, despite the high cost. Overall, I feel the prices charged were excessive given the outcome.
Ashley repeatedly encouraged me to return for a top-up to “fix” the brows, however the issue is that they are too thick, not lacking pigment. My only realistic option now is laser removal and starting again. Although Ashley offered laser treatment herself, due to my experience and lack of trust, I will not be returning.
This experience has been extremely distressing, costly, and disappointing. I would strongly advise others to thoroughly research and seek multiple opinions before undergoing permanent cosmetic treatments here.
